Music at St.Mary's
At St. Mary's we use many different styles of music to enhance our worship - traditional and contemporary hymns, praise choruses, responsive psalms, contemplative chants and classical music.

Choir
Our choir help lead the worship at St. Mary's every Sunday and also perform a number of concerts over the year. November 2003 saw the production of the choir's first CD "Christ Be Our Light" which includes a cross-section of the variety of music and worship at St Mary's. The CD is available to buy in church - price £11.
.
They practise every Wednesday with our choirmaster and organist Peter Barker from 7.30-8.30pm for the children, adults from 8-9pm.

19th December ~ Festival of 9 Lessons & Carols - 6.30pm

Crescendo
This is our church music group who play every 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at Family Worship and Family Praise.
We are currently looking to increase the number of instrumentalists. If you would like to join and are above grade 2 (wind instruments) or grade 3 (strings) please contact Christine Akroyd crescendo@luddendenchurch.co.uk for more information.
